Because our services require dedicated time and resources, the following cancellation and refund terms apply.
1. Full Payment
Full payment is required before The Mendoza Collective begins work on a service.
Services will not begin until payment has been received.
2. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a client cancels before The Mendoza Collective has begun work on the requested service, the client may be eligible for a full refund of the service fee.
For purposes of this policy, work begins when The Mendoza Collective begins research, sourcing, planning, communication, coordination, reservation work, or other substantive work related to the client's request.
3. Cancellation After Work Begins
Once work has begun, the service fee is non-refundable.
This applies even if the client changes their mind, changes their plans, decides not to use the recommendations provided, or no longer requires the service.
The Mendoza Collective's service fee compensates us for the time and work dedicated to the client's request and is therefore considered earned once work begins.
4. Changes to a Client's Request
Clients may request changes to their original request. The Mendoza Collective will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes when possible.
If a requested change substantially increases the scope of work, additional fees may apply. The client will be informed of any additional fee before the additional work is performed.
5. Third-Party Purchases, Reservations & Expenses
The Mendoza Collective may assist clients with reservations, purchases, tickets, vendors, accommodations, transportation, restaurants, activities, and other third-party services.
Third-party purchases and expenses are subject to the cancellation, refund, and change policies of the applicable provider.
The Mendoza Collective does not guarantee that a third party will provide a refund.
The client is responsible for any non-refundable third-party costs that result from the client's cancellation, change of plans, failure to respond, or failure to use a booked service.
6. Rescheduling
When reasonably possible, The Mendoza Collective may allow a client to reschedule a consultation, planning service, or other scheduled service.
Rescheduling is subject to availability and may not be possible for time-sensitive requests, reservations, events, travel, or third-party commitments.
Rescheduling does not automatically create a right to a refund.
7. The Society
The Society is a recurring monthly membership.
Membership fees are non-refundable once the applicable membership period has begun. Members may cancel future membership periods before their next scheduled billing date.
Cancellation does not result in a prorated refund for an active membership period.
Third-party expenses incurred on behalf of a Society member remain subject to the applicable third party's policies.
8. If The Mendoza Collective Cannot Fulfill a Service
If The Mendoza Collective is unable to fulfill a service for reasons within our control, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative.
If an appropriate alternative cannot be provided, the client may be eligible for a refund of the portion of the service fee associated with services that were not provided.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used by the client, unless otherwise agreed.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment processor and financial institution.
10. Client Acknowledgment
By submitting payment for a service, the client acknowledges that they have reviewed and agree to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
The client understands that the service fee becomes non-refundable once work has begun.
